the

team

Pete Dillon is our President-At-Large and a Top Forty Under 40 award recipient. Back in 1992 Pete started his dream job when he founded BigTime Murder Productions/Murder Mystery Ottawa. It's not unusual for show-goers to recognize Pete from the dozens of Films, Television shows and commercials he's performed in. Pete can be seen in TV shows SUITS, Murdoch Mysteries, Orphan Black, Saving Hope, Flashpoint, NIKITA, Degrassi The Next Generation, Hell on Wheels, The Detectives, to name a few. You can also catch him playing Fred Baxter on ABC TV’s hit show Quantico. Pete has performed in well over a thousand Murder Mystery Ottawa shows and still performs in as many as he can fit into his schedule; you can catch him as Manny Wicke, ‘Special’ Officer Torque Penderloin, and Father Vigoda.

As one of the veteran members of the BigTime/Murder Mystery Ottawa family, Dave Kittle has performed in hundreds of murder mysteries since joining the company in 1995, and has enjoyed every single one of them. Dave spent more than 20 years as a radio personality in Montreal and Ottawa (CHEZ 106) and has used his unique talents and ability to think on his feet to add his own personality to a wide variety of shows including Silence of the Hams (Chip Rockwell), the CodFather (Gil Browser) and Hari Karaoke (Kirk Wheeler) and many others.

Gabrielle MacKenzie has appeared in movies, TV series and commercials; she can also be heard voicing a number of animated productions.  She has been with Murder Mystery Ottawa since its launch in 1992 and has had the opportunity to play numerous suspicious and eccentric characters.  She does, however possess a special fondness for Sandy Beach, a bubbly but dim-witted blonde of questionable virtue.  Sandy’s humorous supposed lack of intellect has propelled her around the world, together with the many talented actors on the company’s roster.  She greatly looks forward to the next 25+ years of camaraderie, outstanding shows and, as we are so grateful to be able to boast…the best audiences in the world!

Actor, director and playwright John Muggleton has been working professionally for more than 25 years and performed his first show for Murder Mystery Ottawa in 1993. A member of Canadian Actors Equity, ACTRA and the Playwrights Guild of Canada, his recent shows as an actor include David Mamet's Glengarry Glen Ross (Best Production 2015), Speed-The-Plow (Outstanding Male Actor Nomination Prix Rideau Awards, Best Actor Nomination Capital Critics Circle Awards).  Television acting credits include Treehouse TV, Goregoyles, the Gemini winning Skylight, H20, Mayday and Mann to Mann, on which he was also a writer. John is Co-Founder of the Ottawa Acting Company and a recipient of the Audrey Ashley Award for longstanding dedication to the Ottawa theatre community. John's full length play Burn received a Best New Play nomination in 2017 by the Capital Critics Circle, and will be produced in Vancouver in 2019. Catch John as Angel Delivista, "dumb waiter" Corey Timlinsonfindan, Chip Rockwell and Love God, Donnie Cocktail.

James Kuffner is an Actor and Voice Over Artist with a background in Improv and Theatre, and attended the National Institute of Broadcasting in Toronto and The Acting Company in Ottawa. He's quick to bring his high energy and quick wit to every show he's part of! BigTime audiences know him as Special Officer Peter Pants in both our Full Corporate Murder Mysteries and in our DIY LITE Mysteries. He also frequently plays the Love God, Donnie Cocktail in Silence of the Hams, Angel Delivista & Father Vigoda in The CodFather, and Corey in Hari-Karaoke.

Elena Ienzi joined Murder Mystery Ottawa back in 2012. Best known by our cast and crews as Super Stage Manager "Coco", to our guests, Elena is the big smile that our audience members first see when attending most MMO shows - both at our home (The Prescott) and the many off-site private parties we do throughout the year. When not keeping us on our cues (and our toes), Elena is enjoying a laugh and cheering on the cast.

Morgan Blackbyrne is a professional screen and stage performer with over 20 years experience. Most recently, he completed his second feature film entitled, Reliving Marilyn  - a unique bio-pic about Marilyn Monroe.

Murder Mystery Ottawa's "Popcorn Mysteries" offers him the uniquely awesome live theatre experience of interacting with the audience - something he loves to do!

Morgan currently plays three different characters with Big Time and he particularly loves playing Kirk Wheeler, as this role allows him to sing as well - something relatively new to Morgan's repertoire of performance talents.

Patrick Garden is an Ottawa based actor. An alumnus of The Acting Company, Patrick has appeared in many short films as well as writing and directing his own. Through a recommendation he joined the BigTime family in 2017 and has been a regular fixture ever since. He can be seen having a blast as he play characters Davey Nantucket or Corey the Waiter in "Hari-Karaoke"; Sammy the Squid, Gil Browser or Angelo “Angel” Delavista in "The CodFather"; Sister Dee in Where There's A Will, There's a WAKE", or Donny Cocktail in "Silence of the Hams".

Mike Kosowan has been performing professionally for over a decade now as an actor, magician, clown, juggler and improvist.  He teaches various improv courses at the Ottawa Acting Company and has appeared in numerous Fringe Festivals in Ottawa, Saskatoon, Winnipeg and Edmonton as well as the Magnetic North Festival, Montreal and Ottawa Improv Festivals. You can see him portraying  Angelo "Angel" Delivista in the CodFather and various other characters.

Jennifer Bond has been performing in both amateur and professional theatre groups across Canada for many years, including most recently, Lunchpail Theatre, Ptarmigan Theatrics, and Ottawa's own Phoenix  Players. Jen loves bringing the many zany characters of Murder Mystery Ottawa to life with amazing cast mates. However, it is the great audiences that come in night after night that really make the shows. Thank you, and see you on the boards!

A graduate of Queen’s Law, Erin McNamara operates her own mobile estates law practice: McNamara Law.  Erin is also a part-time professor at the University of Ottawa, Faculty of Law, where she teaches Wills and the Law of Succession. Erin has studied at the Ottawa Acting Company, performed in Bedtime Stories at the Ottawa Little Theatre (Betsy/Sandy/Yolanda) and has performed in numerous other stage productions over the years.

Erin loves Stage Managing all our shows and playing the outrageous Judi Rockwell in Silence of the Hams, Patricia DuPoisson in The CodFather, and Carmen SanDiego in Hari-Karaoke + BigTime IDOL

Norm Berketa is an accomplished actor, writer and short film producer who has appeared in over a 1000 shows with BigTime and Murder Mystery Ottawa over the past 20+ years. He’s shared the screen with the likes of Morgan Freeman, Ben Affleck, Edward Norton, Neve Campbell and many others. Norm can be heard nationally on Kijiji TV and radio commercials and you can read his column and short stories in Ottawa Life Magazine. He also co-hosts a talk show called "Totally Off Script" on the Bell Fibe TV1 network. Norm’s currently producing and co-hosting a web series "The Writer's Block", and shopping a TV pilot to production companies for a series he has created. Norm’s business, NMB Productions, provides support for the acting community by way of video auditions, video and voice demos and actor coaching."
